SEIZE THE DAY






Today, the empty halls of Avalon are starting to fill for the first time in nearly fifteen years. A decade and a half ago, an event arose which brought forth turmoil and despair. Family members of the loved one lost only wished that they had Seized the Day.

March 23, 1992 was a typical day. Nerds getting trashed canned, suck ups being suck ups, and jocks showing off, the usual high school drama and occurrences and yet, not such a normal day. A student had wandered off to light up a joint, stumbling across a body located behind the school building. This death was no accident. Despite the fact that the police had been on a constant look out, inspecting every aspect of what went wrong, they could find no evidence of what had happened to the young girl who was murdered.

Nearly three weeks later, things had died down a bit. Students were now heeding the advice of police to stay in after dusk, going about their usual lives as they had been weeks previous. But just as things were settling themselves down, another ripple was cast over the school. Yet another mangled body was found in the lower levels of the library. These murders continued until the toll reached nine dead. The school had no choice but to close down Avalon high.

In attempts to reopen the school the following year, Avalon began accepting students yet again, hoping this year would be different than what the last had provided to be. Mysterious happenings occurred of which most students claimed to be spirits of the murdered students. Parents pulled their children out of the school, fearing that history was to repeat itself.

Authorities never truly discovered who was behind the murders. Some say it was a nerdy boy who was constantly tortured by the A-Listers while others claim it was a Vexer group member who had fried their brains on drugs. Who knows, perhaps the murderer still lingers around the school. Will you step outside of you clique to accept anyone? Or will you follow in your ancestor's footsteps?
